A strong cold front moved through the area Wednesday evening giving us a shot of cooler and much drier air for Western North Carolina. This front produced some strong to severe storms late Wednesday night across the coastal plain of Eastern North and South Carolina.
Today should start the trend of cooler weather. Temps will remain in the low to mid 80's, but the big difference will be the lack of humidity. Dew points should mange to reach the low 60's. That trend continues throughout the end of the weekend and through the weekend.
Long term it looks like the cooler weather will stay with us through the middle part of next week. Temps so days struggle to make it out of the 70's while the lows will fall into the 50's in some areas.
It does seem though as we look to late next week, into Labor Day weekend more seasonable weather returns with the humidity and heat!
Have a wonderful day!
