Rainy Sunday Weather Briefing: January 28th, 2019

Good Sunday afternoon, Foothills Weather Nation! I hope everyone is enjoying their last weekend day- maybe by taking a lazy day as inspired by our rainy, foggy weather. :)

The rest of today will be much like the earlier half with intermittent rain, patchy fog, and overcast conditions. Temperatures are about as high as they will get today at a pleasant 50 or near 50 degrees across the forecasting area. Precipitation probabilities and cloud coverage will begin to very gradually taper off after sundown today on through the day on Monday. Expect overnight lows to be mild in the low 40's and Monday's high to be reflective of today in the low 50's.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be very similar in nature to each other as an upper level ridge will build over the region during that time following the exiting broad trough. Expect sunny skies, highs a bit cooler in the 40's, lows in the 20's, and some moderate winds of 10-15 mph.

Thursday we will have more mostly sunny skies and a bit of a warm up with a high in the mid 50's as a warm front comes in ahead of a cold front that will bring more rain back into our week. Current percentages have a 60% chance of rain Thursday night all the way through Friday night. Expect mostly cloudy conditions to dominate our Friday with a slight chance of wintry mix on Friday night as temperatures start to dip below freezing. Confidence at this time of any snow let alone accumulating snow is low at this time and will be revisited daily. Saturday looks to be back to sunny conditions and highs in the 40's with the exiting of another broad trough.

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful rest of your day.
