Good Saturday morning to everyone, it’s a chilly start across the region with 30’s and lower 40’s depending on your exact location.
Frontal boundary that caused the shower activity has cleared the area leaving a beautiful Saturday across the Western Carolinas. It will be on the breezy side and downright windy closer you are to the mountains. Temps will struggle in the 50’s by this afternoon, 40’s in the higher elevations.
Tonight high pressure settles in and that will help calm winds east of the mountains. This will all lead to a cold night with a hard freeze expected. Freeze Warnings have been issued for tonight and early tomorrow for those lower elevations who has yet to see an end to the growing season. Tonight will likely take care of that as lows Shiite drop into the 27-30 degree range. The Freeze Warning includes all countries except Alexander and Caldwell...those locations have already experienced freezing temperatures.
Sunday will feature another tranquil day
with temps remaining below average (50’s) clouds will increase ahead of the next storm system. We will talk more about the next rain event later in a separate update.
