Good Tuesday Morning everyone! I hope that your day is off to a great start.
A cold morning as most locations bottomed out near freezing. A cold front passed through the area overnight and that will usher in much cooler weather for the rest of the week. Today should remain mostly sunny. A upper level disturbance could kick off a very isolated shower across the foothills this evening, otherwise it will be relatively quiet.
High pressure will dominate over the next several days, giving mostly sunny skies and cold temperatures. Highs will top out in the 40's with lows in the 20's.
By Friday we will see a few more clouds in the area ahead of our weekend winter weather maker. By Saturday, precipitation will increase along the interstate 40 corridor and north could start out with a sleet/snow mix and changing to snow. South of 40 it could be a rain sleet mix. We still can't determine what area sees all snow, or a mixture of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain. That will come into sight within the next day or so.
Have a wonderful day!
