Good Tuesday everyone!
I hope that your day is off to a good start! It was pretty chilly through the area this morning! Many locations saw lows in the upper 20's. Highs for your Tuesday will only mange to sneak into the low 40's. Tonight will likely be the coldest night we've seen of this winter season. Lows will be in the low 20's and possibly upper teens. A few snow showers may affect our NW sections of Caldwell, Burke and McDowell. A few stray snow flurries could reach places like Marion, Nebo, Old Fort, Glen Alpine, Lake James, Oak Hill, Morganton, Colletsville, Gamewell, Patterson, and Lenoir. Winds will be gusty at times, creating some single digit wind chills. Be sure to dress warm on Wednesday morning!
Wednesday we remain quiet chilly across the foothills and Western Piedmont. Highs will top out in the low 40's. On Thursday are wind flow becomes more westerly, that will allow us to warm into the low 50's for highs with a few clouds possible. A stray shower or sprinkle can't be ruled out across our Foothill communities.
The Weekend looks for active with a chance of showers on Friday. The long range models are still uncertain with the rain moves into the area. So for now we will call for a chance of rain on Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday we could see a few thunderstorms develop as the atmosphere becomes unstable. This could be another significant rain maker for the area. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid to upper 50's. Highs on Sunday will be in the mid to upper 60's.
Have a Great Day!
