Good Monday everyone! I hope that you had a great weekend. It was a beautiful weekend with sunny days and mild temperatures.
Looking ahead to this week, we are seeing a very calm weather pattern developing. A weak cold front will pass through the area on Monday. You will notice a slight change in wind direction, and the temperatures for Monday - Wednesday will be a little cooler than the weekend. The dry frontal passage, combined with down sloping winds and low humidity values, increased fire danger has peaked up for the area.
Tuesday - Wednesday, We will see high pressure move overhead on Tuesday, that will be our cooler day of the week. Highs will top out in the low 50's. Wednesday the high pressure will begin to move east. That will allow for a more southerly flow to set up. At this time the rain should stay west of North Carolina. We should only see an increase in clouds.
Thursday, a small disturbance will pass south of the area, it could wring a little moisture out over the mountains, but again looks dry over the lower elevations. Friday high pressure sets up over the area and we should see a mild weekend with partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 60's.
Have a great day!
