High Impact Weather Outlook (Nov 13th, 3 pm)

Good Tuesday afternoon to everyone across the region. For the past 24 hours or so we have talking about the potential for some wintry weather on Thursday morning as another dynamic storm system will begin to take shape. back to our southwest. With the likelihood of some freezing rain increasing for this time-frame we have initialized our High Impact Weather Outlook...

Impacts from the winter weather aspect will be location and elevation dependent which is common for a storm for this time of the year. And even if your location does not receive wintry precip, the rainfall will also help to serve as an impact...

Locations along and south of US 74 stands the highest chances of escaping the wintry weather on Thursday morning. This would include communities such as Forest City, Cliffside, Mooresboro, Boiling Springs, Shelby, Kings Mountain and Earl.

The commute to and from work on Thursday will be highly impacted by the weather either in the frozen or liquid form...also, with significant rainfall expected expect poor drainage areas to have standing water at various times during the day...

At this time we have not released an ice accretion map for Thursday morning, we will be waiting for one more set of model runs this evening before making our first call on this event...stay tuned!
