One last nice day before we end 2018 on a wet note...

Good Wednesday morning, it’s the day after Christmas and for a good number of people the holiday vacation continues...

Todays forecast is pretty straight-forward, partly to mostly sunny conditions are expected for the day. One last good day of weather before the next big rain maker approaches the region.

A look at the national water vapor image shows the southeast in a tranquil pattern. Meanwhile an upper low in the Four Corners Region is chugging along to the east and will begin to lift northeast on Thursday.

High clouds will begin to increase later today thanks in part to our next storm but rain chances will indeed stay away for at least another 24 hours...

After a frosty start to the day, temps will warm up into the mid-upper 40’s by noon hour...and by late afternoon low 50’s are expected for most locations away from the Blue Ridge, a few upper 40’s may be stubborn to budge in the Foothills north of I-40.

Overall, a nice day across the region. Big changes occur as soon as tomorrow, we’ll have more on that in a later update.
