Good Wednesday morning to everyone, the good news today in the weather world is that a return of sunshine is expected after going through a series of cold and damp days.
The cold front and wedge that was socked in across the Carolinas has been scoured out this morning by some drier air. As you can see on the water vapor image a powerful upper level system across the Great Lakes has ushered in an airmass change in time for humpday!
Temperatures this morning will start out in the upper 30’s with just a few clouds and breezy conditions, especially the closer you are to the Blue Ridge.
For the rest of the day expect sunshine and a good downsloping wind off the Southern Appalachians, afternoon highs should be in the 50’s region-wide with colder temps in the mountains.
Have a great Wednesday!
