Severe Weather Risk Going Down For Tuesday! Winds Still An Issue Outside Of Storms

The front arriving quicker and with a stout cold air damming event ahead of the front and East of the mountains instability is not going to be present. Therefore the National Weather Service has downgraded the outlook to general thunderstorm risk.
Strong winds will persist even outside the line of storms. As the cold front moves through mid Morning winds will quickly increase. Wind gusts to 30mph are possible out over the foothills and winds will gust to 50mph in NW sections of Burke, NW Caldwell, NW McDowell, and NW Rutherford. So before you leave for work this morning be sure to secure outdoor furniture.
