Good Tuesday everyone! I hope that your Tuesday is off to a good start!
Weather wise high pressure to our Northeast continues to rein over the area. This will likely be the coolest day of the week. Mostly sunny skies, with a few high level cirrus clouds will paint the sky today. Temperatures will be chilly as most locations top out in the low to mid 50's. We will see another cold night tonight with lows dropping to around 30 -33 degrees area wide.
A complex storm system will begin to develop off the Carolina Coast. Depending on the track it could spread some clouds and even moisture into our Eastern Counties on Wednesday. So right now the thinking will be for a Partly cloudy day on Wednesday with a slight chance of some rain in Eastern Catawba, Eastern Lincoln and maybe Eastern Alexander Counties. A cold front will approach the area late Wednesday into Thursday and this could kick off a few isolated showers in the NW sections of Burke, Caldwell and McDowell Counties. A full fledged Nor'Easter will move up the Atlantic coast and bring stormy conditions from the Carolina coast into the Mid Atlantic and Northeast.
By the weekend we should see a return to calmer weather and our temperatures begin to warm. High pressure begins to move into the area. High temperatures on Friday will be in the low mid 60's. Saturday we are in the mid to upper 60's. By Sunday and Monday we should see temperatures around 70 or slightly warmer. We could see a few showers around late Monday, but at this time, I will stick with calm weather.
Have a great day!
