Good evening. Snow is finally moving up to the I-40 corridor. It has had to overcome the very dry air that was locked in at the surface. This has allowed temps to cool back a little bit more ahead of this and now dewpoints are in the low 20's. This will allow temps to fall back into the mid and upper 20's after the snow gets going good.
No adjustment to snowfall totals either. Im a little concerned actually that the snowfall totals we have could be just a little low. Not going to adjust up either though. This is because less sleet will mix in now due to colder temps. The 32 degree boundary is all the way down to the State Line. Profiles still look good to support snow or a sleet and snow mix everywhere now across the foothills.
We continue to monitor this storm and look forward to seeing your pictures.
