Happy Tuesday everyone!
Another beautiful warm spring like day for the area. Morning clouds should give way to partly to mostly sunny conditions this afternoon. Temperatures will rise into the low, possibly mid 70's this afternoon.
Wednesday we will see clouds move into the area, as a disturbance passes through the area. This could kick off a few showers for the foothills and Western Piedmont areas. The better chance to see rain showers would be in the mountains and northern foothills. Temperatures will be a little cooler as well. Highs will be in the 60's for the majority of the area.
Thursday, looks to be the warmest day of the year. All locations will push into the 70's. A few locations could push into the mid to upper 70's. A few record highs could be challenged on Thursday.
A strong cold front will push into the area on Friday. Moisture will be limited with the frontal passage. Temperatures will peak during the morning to midday hours, and slowly fall throughout the afternoon. We could make it into 60's before we start to see temperatures fall. That will set us up for a cool down over the weekend.
Saturday should be a nice day across the area, we may see some clouds filter in ahead of our next weather maker that moves into the area on Sunday. Cold Canadian High pressure will set up a wedge over the area, models show the precipitation moving int by Midday Sunday. This could start as a brief wintry mix for our northern foothill communities, but overall, expect a cold rainy Sunday afternoon for much of the area. Another storm could move into the area by Monday.
Have a great day!
