Torrential Rains and Severe Weather To Make An Appearance Late Week

Chick Fil A of Morganton presents Foothills Weather Network's High Impact Weather Update

Good Tuesday Evening. We are tracking a potent weather system that will spread all kinds of high impact weather into our area Wednesday through Friday Morning, but especially Thursday. A frontal boundary will cross the area Thursday but then will stall Thursday Afternoon. While rains will spread into the area ahead of the front on Wednesday Night, the heaviest rainfall isn't likely until Thursday. As that front crosses and stalls it will likely produce a round of severe weather that could include a couple of tornadoes. The highest risk for severe weather currently will be in Cleveland and Lincoln Counties, but it cannot be ruled out in any of our 8 county forecast area.

Here are our high impact graphics including a timeline when we currently expect impacts and those are broken down by counties.
