Good Monday everyone! I hope that your day is off to a good start.
First and foremost, I want to send my prayers and thoughts to those who were affected by severe weather yesterday. At least 24 tornadoes and 22 deaths from yesterdays system.
A strong cold front which created the severe weather has pushed through the area. This will establish high pressure over the area, which will lead to very chilly weather over the next few days.
We could see a breezy, but partly sunny today. Temperatures will be quite chilly as highs will only mange to make it into the mid to upper 40’s. We could see a weak disturbance pass through the area Monday evening. Maybe a stray sprinkle or flurry possible in our southern portion of the forecast areas. High pressure will then dominate the weather through Wednesday with highs in the low to mid 40’s and lows in the upper 10’s to low 20’s both Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
Our next storm system begins to move into the area by Thursday afternoon. Rain will begin to overspread the area. The forecast could be a little tricky depending on overnight lows Thursday into Friday. At this moment, I think we will stay just above freezing. So I don’t think we will see any issues Friday morning. We will continue to see a chance of showers on Friday with highs near 50.
The weekend features additional chances at showers, but we should warm into the 60’s with maybe a thunderstorm on Sunday.
Have a great day!
