Higher pressures aloft continues to provide a stagnant weather pattern for the Carolinas, at the surface high pressure is starting to slide off the east coast today. While you Saturday featured warm but moderate levels of humidity, that will begin to transition over to a muggier airmass. Surface heating along with mesoscale features may be just enough to fire off a couple showers and storms later today and into the evening hours, best chances are in the Foothills and along the higher terrain. Temperatures will top out in the upper 80’s with a few low 90’s possible in Piedmont locations…
