Good Sunday to everyone, we are in a classic mid to late August weather pattern across the Western Carolinas. Warm and sunny conditions will help fire a few thunderstorms later today as abundant moisture content is there for the fuel. Storms today could be strong to severe, the strongest cells will include torrential rainfall, dangerous lightning and gusty winds. Microburst potential does exist as well with the strongest of storms.
